Review || L'Oreal Paris Miss Manga Mascara.

It's been a while since I have done a product review, I thought I would start of this years reviews with a new product that has just been released by L'Oreal, The Miss Manga Mascara. ( I was drawn in by the Advert)
The mascara comes in 3 different colours Black, Turquoise and Purple, I picked up the back as I don't like coloured mascaras. L'Oreal says this mascara is meant to add Mega volume on the top and bottom lashes, It has a 360 degree flexible brush and makes your eyes more open.
The mascara formula is quite thick and it can easily clump up after a few coats, this is definitely a lengthening mascara. I don't use mascara on the bottom lashes so I cant tell you if it adds 'Mega Volume' there. The mascara has a cone shaped brush, so it goes from big to smaller at the end. I don't find that the flexible bit on the brush makes any difference when applying the mascara.
Overall I like this mascara, Its light, lasts all day and not bad for £5.99, I don't think I would buy it when it goes back the normal price.
The mascara is available in Boots at £5.99 normally £8.99.

Little Mix make up for Collection

I first heard of the little mix make up range through collections twitter, I'm not a fan of little mix but I couldn't say no to grabbing some pieces from the collection. This was released in Superdrug on 25th September and has only just come into Boots recently.
The Collection consists of Eye-shadow Trios, Eye Liners, Loose Pigments, Mascaras, Lipstick and glosses, Blushes, Bronzer and Nail Varnish. Each of little mix has there own little collection, Jades is Vibrant, Jesy's is bold, Leigh-anne is Bronze and Perrie's is Daring. The prices for the product ranges from £1.99 for a nail Polish to £3.19 for a trio pallet.
I had been putting this post of for while because i wanted something from each girl to put into this post but the superdrug or boots i go to never have the things i want to try such as a lipstick or all the nail polish. Instead i gave up waiting and im going to share with you my thoughts on these two eye shadows from Leigh- Anne collection. The first product is one of the trio pallets, they are all shimmery colours which all create the perfect smokey eye with the hint of shimmer. The Darkest brown is highly pigmented and is easy to blend out into a lighter brown colour if you wanted a wash of colour but not a strong colour. The second colour in this pallet is a very pigmented bronze colour which again cane be blended out into a lighter and easy to wear colour. This has a lot more shimmer in than the darker colour which is almost a metallic colour.
The Lightest colour in this pallet is the only colour that i absolutely hate! It is really pigmented with just a swipe on the lip but if you used this is a smokey eye and blended it out this just leaves a shine and no colour what so ever. There is a lot of glitter in this shadow which makes it really hard to get any colour on to the brush. I do want to try one of the other pallets as there are some which aren't to shimmery like this.
The second eye shadow I picked up was a Dark Brown loose pigment from again Leigh- Anne's collection. This is essentially just the exact same colour as the dark brown in the trio pallet, I do find it to be very slightly different. I do find the colour isn't as heavy in colour compared to the brown in the trio pallet where its quite dark when applied. I would like it if this came with a stopper to press the colour down as it does try to escape.

I recommend taking a look at this Collection by Little Mix, There are some really nice products. I desperately want to try a lip stick, blush and the nail polish.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation || Review

When this came out I wasn't the slightest bit interested, I try and avoid any foundation that says 'Mousse'. In this months Company Magazine there was a free sample of the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation so I decided to give it ago, I fell in love straight away.
I find that because this foundation is a mousse is very easy to blend into the skin without it looking patchy and caking up. I use this with the Rimmel London Wake me up Concealer and the Stay Matte Powder over the top and it looks really natural, This has an amazing coverage and as I have quite red cheeks this keeps them quite hidden. This is very light and  leaves your skin feeling smooth with out feeling heavy or Greasy.
When this comes out it does look slightly dark, It doesn't mean you have picked up the wrong colour (Because the lightest shade comes out the same) but once it has been blended into the skin it matches the skin perfectly.

This will definitely be in my monthly favourites without a doubt! This is available in Superdrug and Boots at £5.99 and comes in 6 different shades.

NEW Maybelline New York || UK Baby lips!

On YouTube I am subscribed to a couple of American beauty and fashion YouTuber's and they always use the Baby lips. I have wanted to own them for a long time, When I read on Maybelline's Facebook page that they were going to be released in the UK I was excited and wanted them straight away. Somewhere I had read these came out in August but came out earlier online only but I went into Boots at the beginning of the week and found them hidden away at the bottom of the Maybelline make up stand. The only ones left where the clear one's which are called: Intense Care, Mint Fresh and Hydrate.

I have used them everyday since I brought them, there honestly amazing and the price for them is worth it. These leave your lips feeling so soft and leave a shine. Mint fresh...well smells like mint, but like a mild toothpaste mint. Blue:Hydrate to me smells of a mixture between Haribo and Love Hearts. The clear ones work a treat at night when you put them on at night before bed as you wake up with soft lips. I would say with these ones its not worth the money just buying three clear ones as they all do the exact same thing they just have different scents to them. These are available in Boots and Superdrug but I have only seen them in Boots. These are also in a 3 for 2 offer on all Maybelline Products in Boots at £2.99 each.

Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation || Review

For a while i have been using the Max Factor Smooth Effect foundation (which i have done a review on to see it click HERE) this worked really well but i have recently ran out of it. I went to Boots to try and find the same one but they didn't seem to have this in the store anywhere so i decided to give up and look for another one. Instead i found this foundation which is the Rimmel London Match Perfection foundation in 010 Light Porcelain. This also contains SPF 18.

£6.99 Boots.
'Traceless coverage foundation with advanced Smart-tone technology for perfectly flawless skin under any light. Enhanced with Sapphire Radiance for an illuminating glow. Lasts all day'

I have never used any of the Rimmel London Foundations until recently. I love this it blends into the skin really well and cover any imperfections slightly (by that i mean you still obviously need a concealer). The consistency isn't very thick which i liked the most, it is very light which makes it a alot easier to blend in. I also find that you don't need alot to cover your whole face maybe just 2/3 small pumps and that would be enough, I sometimes just use one pump of foundation and it covers really well. The foundation has a very light perfumed scent to it but not like a cheap horrible foundation smell. I have used this alot since i have bought it and i find it does stay on for along time.

17 Smoulder Gel Eyeliner || Review

'17 Smoulder Gel Eyeliner, Silky, Smooth and Smudge proof. 16 hour wear. All the precision of a liquid liner but with a softer, silkier finish. Includes mini brush for foolproof application. Layer up for a smouldering eye look or use as a base for eye shadow for ultimate intensity.'
£3.99 , 17, Boots
I have been looking at Gel eyeliners for a while and today decided to get one and try it out. Im not one for things like these im always aware of poking myself in the eye alot more than a normal eyeliner pen, plus them working. I was looking at the MUA one on and off and found this one in Boots, the Gel liner from MUA was £3 where as this was £3.99....for 99p more you get a more reasonable size. I have wanted to try the Maybelline Gel Liner but to begin with i wanted to start of with something like this and see how it works for me and then maybe purchase it.
This applies so smooth on your eyes plus it is very black which i really like, i love a very black eyeliner!
You would probably only want to use this if you are not rushing out anywhere as you would need to be quite precise for the lines you want.
I find that in this weather the colder air hurts/stings my eyes so i find that when i touch my eyes my eyeliner seems to be slightly smudged onto my fingers, this surprisingly doesn't do it which i really like.

What i dont like about this product is that it doesn't stay perfect all day, i find that it starts to flake away and that ends up all around your eyes. The product does last on your eyes though it just doesn't stay perfect so you would need to touch it up when possible. The other thing i dont like is the size of the brush, its just absolutely useless.

If you want to try a Gel Liner i advice something cheaper like this first before you buy something like the Maybelline Gel Liner. I know its only £7.99 but if you have never used it before i do advise it, plus this may not stay perfect all day but it is still a good product.

Rimmel London- Stay Matte Pressed Powder || Review

(Accidental smashed powdered powder with brand new non broken one :))
Rimmel London- Stay Matte Pressed Powder- Shade: 001-Transparent
Natural shine control with Natural Minerals.
Up to 5 hours Natural shine control with natural minerals. Helps minimise the appearance of pores.

I have always purchased either the Natural Collection or Collection 2000 press powder but recently decided to purchase this. As you can see i accidentally smashed one of them, I got to the bottom of the pan and then everything left around the side just smashed...no idea how though. The powder works really well, it lasts along time, i dont think it lasts exactly 5hours though...I suppose with things like this you cant really tell if its still there or not.
Ive used this before on its own with concealer when i ran out of foundation, and it looked horrible you could tell i was just wearing powder. Where as if you put it on over the top of foundation and everything else it looks nicer than on its own.

Max Factor: Smooth Effect Foundation ||Review

 (A very Patriotic background)

Max Factor-Smooth effect foundation in Creamy Ivory 45
Info from packaging: 'Glided on effortlessly for a smooth even finish. Suitable tor sensitive skin. Wont clog pores and is Oil free.

Ive needed a new foundation for a while now and finally brought a new one..im not the one to rush and go and get a new foundation straight away or have another already as a backup.
The foundation i have just finished was the 17 Miracle Matt Foundation. I dont think this was amazing as the website and the packaging made out that it was. After watching a video of someone's everyday make up routine, i saw that they put some foundation onto the back of there hand and warmed it up slightly with there finger, so it would blend into the skin better. After seeing the video i started using the foundation like that and it worked alot better.

But onto this new foundation...I find that doing the same routine with this foundation as i did with the old one works well, the foundation blends in to the skin easily. I only use a small amount to cover my whole face, it covers the imperfections on your skin well, you'd still have to use maybe a concealer under/over it as it doesn't cover everything. I found that the colour of the foundation looks far to light for your skin, but once blended in you cant really tell and still covers things.
The constancy is very liquidy which i like in a foundation, i hate things like foundation that have thick consistency i find that it is alot harder to blend into your skin. I find that the foundation lasts all day, even i hot weather...its been ridiculously hot today i have felt like i was melting...the foundation stayed in place and lasted all day, i was amazed!

Overall this foundation works wonders, it lasts all day and gives really good coverage.
I think this was priced at £7.99 from Boots.
